Sports medicine researcher, clinical practitioner and performance specialist Georgios Kakavas lays the groundwork for the neuroscience-driven transformation of sports rehabilitation and performance.
Georgios Kakavas is the founder and owner of Fysiotek Spine and Sports Lab in Athens dedicated to injury rehabilitation and sports performance, he is also Head of Medical Services at Xanthi FC, Greece. Georgios obtained a Master of Science degree in sports rehabilitation after graduating in the fields of sports osteopathy and musculoskeletal therapy. He is currently completing his PhD with a focus on the neurocognitive ACL injury risks of repeated micro-concussions in soccer. A long time user of NeuroTracker for both his medical practices, sports performance and scientific research, he was one of the first professional coaches or clinicians to adopt the technology in Europe.
