When 11-year-old Justin first began training with NeuroTracker, his attention challenges often showed up in both the classroom and on the playing field. His early NeuroTracker scores were very low — at just 0.2–0.7 for tracking speed at two targets.

But with consistent dedication and encouragement from his family, Justin has achieved an extraordinary transformation. Today, after completing over 200 sessions in less than a year, his scores have risen dramatically to an average of 2.9 tracking speed at four targets.

Simultaneously following four targets accurately in 3D space among distractors is very difficult. Justin has actually matched the level of a well-trained elite professional athlete.

From Struggles to Strides

Justin has always loved sports, from soccer to swimming to jiu-jitsu. But his mother, Rachael, remembers the earlier days when his effort didn’t match his results.

Justin used to try very hard at running, but his stride was unbalanced. He would run fast, but not efficiently. After training with NeuroTracker, his running became smoother and faster. Even the school coach came to us and said, ‘Justin has improved so much this year — he’s contributing the most to the team’s score.’ The same progress showed up in swimming.
Before, he would sometimes lose control because his brain and hands weren’t working together. Now his coordination is much better.

In soccer, the improvements were even more striking.

“Last year he normally didn’t contribute points. But then he scored two goals in important matches. The coach was so surprised, saying, ‘I can’t believe that was Justin!’ Other than neurofeedback, we didn’t add any other training, so I believe NeuroTracker made a difference.”

Building Confidence and Focus

Justin himself describes the journey honestly:

After doing NeuroTracker many times, I still kept training. Sometimes I do it twice a day. At first my scores were very low, but now they feel slow compared to what I can do today. I’ve been using a balance board while doing NeuroTracker. At first it was much harder, but now I feel it’s not really a challenge anymore.

The discipline paid off, not just in sports but also in schoolwork.

“At home, his focus during tutoring has become much better. He can stay concentrated for longer periods and doesn’t give up as easily,” says Rachael.

Even eye doctors noticed improvements. Initially, they expected Justin would need glasses due to weak eye teaming, but after months of training, they were surprised: his eye muscles had strengthened, and no glasses were required.

Dr. Sammy Oh remotely supervised Justin’s home-based training. She has been equally impressed with Justin’s progress:

Justin’s discipline has been remarkable. I’ve never seen a child train with this level of dedication. Early on, his thoughts were a bit fractured, and his confidence was hidden. As his training progressed, his confidence became stronger and more visible to everyone around him.

A Role Model for Young Athletes

Justin’s journey shows what’s possible when perseverance meets the right kind of training. By completing around 20 hours of NeuroTracker training over 12 months, he has built a new foundation of elite-level focus.

Dr. Sammy Oh gave insights on just how valuable this type of cognitive training can be:

“Justin’s story is a powerful reminder that children with attention challenges can thrive when given the right tools. His discipline and curiosity are remarkable, and it has been a joy to see his confidence come forward and shine.''

We celebrate these milestones not only as achievements for one child, but as inspiration for families everywhere who are navigating similar challenges.

Justin’s improvements in so many aspects of his daily life show that with dedication, support, and the right training, real transformations are possible.”

Looking Ahead

From unsteady strides on the track to scoring goals on the soccer field, Justin’s growth has been extraordinary. His journey demonstrates how strengthening attention and focus can ripple into every part of life — sports, school, and self-confidence.

For other families, Justin’s story is more than a success; it’s a role model case showing that attention challenges don’t have to limit potential. With patience and the right guidance, every child can find their own path to improvement.
