Members of the CogniSens Applied Research Centre (ARC) team are excited to attend Innovations in Training 2016 and I/ITSEC 2016. The CogniSens ARC is a non-profit research centre. It is dedicated to studying and developing cognitive human performance potential, through the use of NeuroTracker, a cognitive training tool. Its aim is to bring researchers and experts in cognitive human performance together. The CogniSens ARC has already participated in a number of high-profile collaborations and projects, including a collaboration with Rockwell Collins.
Rockwell Collins is a pioneer in the design, production and support of innovative solutions for their customers in aerospace and defence. This year, it is a leading participant in I/ITSEC’s Live Virtual Constructive “Operation Blended Warrior.” I/ITSEC is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and is being held in Orlando, Florida from November 28th to December 2nd. It’s a must-see for anyone interested in modelling, simulation and training.
Rockwell Collins’ “Operation Blended Warrior” constructive is a training exercise coordinated with over 50 participants on the show floor. Attendees will be able to see scenarios that demonstrate how to train to respond to growing crises dealing with insurgent activity, and near-peer hostile interference across air, land, sea and cyber domains.
Over time, the defence market has become saturated with new technologies intended to enhance performance. As an innovator in its field, however, Rockwell Collins has started to explore the use of biometrics and cognitive elements in its simulators. Consequently, it is in the process of collaborating with NeuroTracker to introduce cognitive elements in its simulators and see if it demonstrates transferability in real world applications.
At the conference, you can expect to hear about how NeuroTracker merges cutting-edge neuroscience with WebGL technologies. As the first cloud-based simulation training of its kind, it delivers a mobile simulation environment that adaptively assesses and improves high-level cognitive functions.
