Heroes and Zeroes - November 23

November 23, 2015

Hello, this is a new feature on that will run on a weekly basis. It will highlight recent plays from across professional and amateur leagues in the world. Each week, we will present one "Hero" that shows superior awareness and tracking skills that enable them to perform a great play. We will also present one "Zero" who could have done better if they did more NeuroTracker training. NeuroTracker allows amateurs and professionals to improve their focus and attention. It can also help with a wide array of cognitive functions.

Hero - Ricky Rubio

Ricky Rubio identifies an empty area on the court and heads directly towards it giving his teammate an easy pass to make. Rubio doesn't stop there but he then shows great level of anticipation and makes a behind-the-back pass directly to his teammate, allowing for an easy 2-points.

Zero - Everyone on the ice (but not Dmitry Orlov or the referee)

We have to admit. We had a hard time deciding if this play should be a Hero play (for the referee) or a Zero (for everybody else). We decided to go with the zero as we find it quite unbelievable that everyone on the ice completely loses track of the puck as Dmitry Orlov skates uncontested towards an open goal.

With that being said, stick-tap for the referee who shows amazing vision to be fully aware where the puck is at all times.

Any other highlights caught your eye that represent a great awareness play? Anyone you think needs some extra NeuroTracker training?
