The Neurotracker Team

Heroes and Zeroes - December 07

December 7, 2015

Hello, this is a new feature on that will run on a weekly basis. It will highlight recent plays from across professional and amateur leagues in the world. Each week, we will present one "Hero" that shows superior awareness and tracking skills that enable them to perform a great play. We will also present one "Zero" who could have done better if they did more NeuroTracker training. NeuroTracker allows amateurs and professionals to improve their focus and attention. It can also help with a wide array of cognitive functions.

Hero - Patrick Kane

The current NHL scoring leader is there for a reason. Patrick Kane continues to dazzle with amazing plays. In this play, he goes behind the net and executes an amazing no-look pass to an open teammate. This play is becoming a staple for one of the most dynamic lines in hockey with Kane, Artem Anisimov and Artemi Panarin. Notice how Kane is looking the whole time towards Panarin, who himself is open. What's impressive about this play is that a regular player will do that pass to Panarin, which is a good hockey play and can result in a dangerous opportunity. What makes Kane stand out above the rest is that he makes a completely unexpected, high-reward play that results in a goal, rather than possibly just a shot.

Zero - Oklahoma City Thunder Defence

Unfortunately, the Thunder's defence might be in need of some NeuroTracker training. In this play, they all get fixated on where the ball is, and are unable to anticipate where the play is going, which is to an open Marco Belinelli. Don't get us wrong, what Rajon Rando is great and unexpected as well, but you would expect the Oklahoma City Thunder to be in better position for this play, instead of allowing an open, easy 3-pointer. Thankfully for them, OKC manages to sneak out a 98-95 win over the Sacramento Kings nevertheless.

Any other highlights caught your eye that represent a great awareness play? Anyone you think needs some extra NeuroTracker training?
